Outline of Final Research Achievements

Enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma (EATL) is a rare primary T-cell lymphoma of the digestive tract. I aimed to clarify the characteristics of EATL in Japan using FFPE (formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue).
EATL in Japan is characterized by medium to large sized cells with cytotoxic CD8(+)/CD56(+) immunophenotype and 9q34 gain irrespective of the cell origin of αβ-T-cells, γδ-T-cells and TCR silent cells.
