Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to compare gene expression in rabbit liver after conventional transarterial chemoembolization with Lipiodol (Lip-TACE) to that after transarterial chemoembolization with drug-eluting microspheres (DEB-TACE) by DNA-microarray technique. There were differences about gene expression both in a kind of chemoembolization and number of days after chemoembolization. This result suggested that gene expression after transarterial chemoembolization was possibly related to the dysfunction of non-tumorous liver parenchyma and the local control mechanism to the tumor by chemoembolization.
