Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Our research suggests that microstructural white matter changes occur in middle-aged men with hypertension, even before the onset of cerebrovascular disease. Our research also suggests that microstructural white matter changes occur in patients with metabolic syndrome. The fractional anisotropy values may be useful indices of white matter alterations in patients with metabolic syndrome.
