Outline of Final Research Achievements

(1)Phase Ⅰ Trial of Tris-hydroxymethyl aminomethane(THAM)　Infusion on the dyspnea associated with Cancer: One participant completed the study and no grade 3 or higher on CTCAE ver. 4.0 was observed during follow up period. On day 32, the participant died. Institutional review board approval was obtained prior to restarting the study. The study would be discontinued due to the difficulty of recruiting.
(2)A prospective observational study of respiration status in cancer patients with sedatives and analgesics: Ten participants provided written informed consent and available data was obtained in 9 cases. The significant change of Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI) was unseen among four cases with opioids.
