| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
現在臨床では限られた症例にのみ歯周病で破壊された組織の再生が行われている。多量の破壊された組織の再生には適切な細胞、足場材料が必要とされる。その中で細胞に着目した場合、多分化能を有する幹細胞が利用されることが多いが歯周組織への分化の完全な制御は難しい。そこで申請者は安定した細胞を供給のため、分化が決定した未熟な骨芽細胞を用いる事を考えた。すでに申請者は増殖能力のある未熟な骨芽細胞を成人から分離培養することには成功したが、細胞を用いて、より確実な骨組織再生治療を目指すためには得られた細胞のクオリティーを評価する必要がある。そこでこの細胞の詳しい機能解析を行うため本研究の研究計画を立案した。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
石灰化能力の高い骨芽細胞をヒトの骨芽細胞を採取できたが、培養し、増殖と共に石灰化能力を失っていくことが判明した。この石灰化能力の喪失をできる限り遅らせることを目的に研究を進める。

| Causes of Carryover |
概ね予定通り研究は進んでいる。一部の試薬の値段が当初の見積もりよりもディスカウント出来たため節約につとめた結果、次年度使用額が発生した。

次年度の研究に対して使用していく。細胞培養時の培地に当てる予定である。
