Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research project, I have studied crowd guidance using delay-tolerant networking technology, and obtained the following results: (1) Proposal of a mobility model for evacuation simulations, (2) Application implementation of crowd guidance system, (3) Performance evaluation of the system by experiment. I have also proposed a novel concept "Proximity-Based Service (PBS)" and demonstrated that route guidance using a recent trending proximity wireless communication technologies, such as iBeacon, can be an effective system to navigate people and evacuees.
