Outline of Annual Research Achievements

加速器を用いたがん治療や核変換等の放射線応用分野では、加速粒子と標的核(人体や加速器を構成する原子核)との相互作用に関して、詳細かつ正確な情報が求められる。本研究では、中高エネルギー領域の核反応で放出される多種多様な粒子とその動力学的相関を統一的にかつ微視的に記述できるイベントジェネレータを構築し、放射線応用分野で必要とされている粒子・重粒子輸送シミュレーションコードの高精度化に資することを目的としている。
これまでに、非平衡過程からの粒子放出を核内カスケードモデル（INCL4.6）で模擬し、平衡過程からの粒子放出を統計マルチフラグメンテーションモデル（SMM）と一般化蒸発モデル（GEM）を組み合わせたモデルで模擬するイベントジェネレータを構築し、陽子入射反応に対する生成二重微分断面積の実験データを基に、モデルのフラグメント生成過程の記述の改良を行ってきた。今年度は、これまでの成果を国際会議で公表するとともに、本モデルを大型加速器における放射線損傷や遮蔽設計へ適用することを念頭に欧州原子核研究機構（CERN）との国際共同研究を進め、粒子・重粒子輸送シミュレーションコードの検証や高精度化に有用な新たな実験データを取得することができた。また、放射線医学総合研究所において、サイクロトロン施設を用いて、炭素やネオン等の複合粒子による放射化反応の実験データも取得できたので、今後幅広い領域においてモデルの検証を行っていくことができるようになった。
