Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究では,淡水-海水混合域における栄養塩の輸送過程について,異なる淡水流出強度下における定量的評価を行うことを目標とし,1. 瀬戸内海の中でも特に閉鎖性の高い海域の沿岸部を対象に,水温,塩分,酸素・水素安定同位体比(δ18O, δD)およびラドン(Rn-222)をマルチトレーサーに用いた淡水由来栄養塩のインパクトゾーンおよび輸送経路(河川水および地下水経由)の推定を行うとともに,2. それにともなう沿岸低次生態系の応答について検討することを目的とした.H26年度は,主に大阪湾沿岸域を対象に淡水流出強度の異なる二つの時期(晩夏および冬季)における現地観測を実施し,河口から約10km沖合までの水温,塩分,δ18O,δD,栄養塩類(窒素およびリン)およびRn-222の空間分布を確認するとともに水試料および堆積物試料の採取と分析を行い,得られた結果に基づく解析を行った. その結果,Rn-222については全体的に濃度レベルが低く,対象区間では明瞭な地下水流出傾向が確認できなかったのに対し,河川水および下水処理場からの放流水由来の淡水のインパクトゾーンが季節によって変化する傾向が確認された.特に,晩夏は河口のごく近傍に比較的明瞭な淡水-塩水境界が存在し,栄養塩濃度は河口近傍の表層において最も高く,その後沖合に向かって低下する傾向がみられた.一方で,冬季は鉛直混合の卓越にともない表層から底層にかけてより沖合まで全体的に塩分が低下する傾向がみられ,クロロフィルaおよび溶存酸素濃度(DO)も比較的高く,植物プランクトンの生産が活発になっている可能性が示唆された.
