Outline of Final Research Achievements

Cyclic electron transport through photosystem I was discovered more than a half-century ago, but its physiological function remains unclarified. The present study showed that cyclic electron transport through photosystem I via chloroplast NAD(P)H dehydrogenase (NDH) complex performs a significant physiological role during photosynthesis and plant growth at low light.
