Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We confirmed the expression of LC3B, which is key molecule in autophagy, to epidermis and skin adnexa. In addition, in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, expression of LC3B in the epidermis granular layer was more strongly seen. Moreover, by the experiment using the normal human epidermal keratinocyte, TLR9 ligand stimulation enhanced expression of LC3B. These results suggested association between autophagy and synthesis of many molecules, and that bacterial infection may induce autophagy and following various material composition in the skin, but did not come to clarify the mechanism.
