Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

従来からプローブとしてしか用いられてこなかった軟Ｘ線自由電子レーザーをポンプ光として用いるという装置開発を含む挑戦的課題であり、特に新規性の面で学術的な意義が大きい。また、磁気ダイナミクスの観測のために円偏光を生成する素子の開発も計画されており、他分野への利用も考えると物性研究の分野における新しいツールとして大きな成果が期待できる。
