Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

難分解性プラスチックを分解する微生物の利用によって、サーキュラーエコノミー創出が期待される研究である。分解菌の発見や代謝改変技術を活用した高活性な分解菌の創出は実現可能性も十分あると評価された。また、分解後の物質生産の実現性や具体的な手法の具体化を通して環境問題の解決や資源循環への大きな寄与が期待できる。
