Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

動脈硬化性血管疾患の成因として血管周囲脂肪組織（PVAT）における慢性炎症に着目した仮説を基にした本研究は独自性が高い。さらに、その仮説を検証するための十分な予備実験成果を基盤に計画された組織常在性T細胞に焦点を当てた新規イメージング技術を用いる解析や治療応用を目指したα線細胞ターゲティングなどの研究計画の具体性・実現性も高く評価できる。
