SNSの投稿などに現れるキーワードの時間的・構造的な変化を解析する技術を確立することで、ダークウェブにおけるユーザの活動動向の早期検知を目指す、学術的・社会的の両面で意義の大きい研究である。また、解析手法の社会実装に向けた取り組み（アプリケーションの実装、ネットワーク制御技術との連携）も計画されており、実社会への波及効果も期待できる。
