Outline of Annual Research Achievements

アミン有機触媒の研究では、フェニルシクロプロパン構造を導入することによって、触媒の基本構造として汎用される軸不斉を持ったビナフチル構造と同等の不斉環境を構築できることを見出した。このアミン有機触媒は、アルデヒドの不飽和ニトロ化合物への不斉共役付加反応において高いエナンチオ選択性を発現した。このようなアミン有機触媒の開発により、新規な次世代型有機塩基触媒および有機酸塩基触媒の合成を目指した触媒設計の新たな可能性が示された。また、分子内にアミノ基を有するキラル相間移動型の複合触媒を新たに触媒設計して、分子内の適当な位置にアミノ基を配置することにより、別々に使うより、はるかに高い反応性や選択性が得られることを実証した。続いて、次世代型有機硫黄ラジカル触媒の研究で見出された、誘導化の容易なインダノール骨格由来の不斉反応場の効率的合成法が確立したため、この鋳型を基に種々のキラル有機ヨウ素触媒を調製し、従来、高いエナンチオ選択性が得られ難かった親電子的脱芳香族化反応で、その不斉識別能を評価したところ、既知のキラルヨウ素触媒に較べて、より優れたエナンチオ選択性を発現することを見出した。一方、新たな次世代型有機ラジカル触媒の開発に関しては、種々のN-ヒドロキシベンゾイミダゾール(NHBI)化合物を合成し、有機ラジカル触媒としての活性評価を行った結果、触媒骨格にフッ素原子を導入したフッ素置換型NHBI触媒がN-ヒドロキシフタルイミドよりも高い触媒活性を示すことを明らかにした。さらに、カチオン型NHBI触媒を用いて、アルデヒドから直截的にアシルラジカルを発生させることにより、各種のラジカル的なアシル化反応を試みた。中でも、セレクトフルオルと組合わせることによりフッ化アシルの生成が円滑に起こり、その後のアミドやエステルへの変換のみならず、新たな炭素炭素結合形成反応を開発することができた。
