Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は形状可変材料の力学・圧電特性の評価やホモ界面構造に関して深化させ,高機能化指導原理の確立に取り組んだ.
ホモ界面のねじれを低減したTi-Ni基合金で,既知の整合界面形成条件を完全に満足しなくても,双晶結合のみとなる特異なモザイク状組織の出現を見出した.チタン系超弾性単結晶の応力誘起マルテンサイト相と母相の界面形成では,従来理論では説明不可能で新理論展開に繋がる新挙動を見出し,また,時効熱処理で既知の組織と全く異なるα″相を見出した.圧電材料では,引張歪み下で成長したPZT薄膜で温度低下に伴いドメイン構造が2段階変化することを見出し,冷却制御による圧電材料のドメイン構造制御の可能性を見出した.さらに,多様な形状可変材料について第一原理計算による説明変数と変態温度の実験結果を被説明変数とした人工ニューラルネットワークを構築し,第一原理計算と機械学習を併用により従来の予測法よりも高精度の予測手法の開発に成功した.
評価法では,強弾性ドメインの電界下測定が数十ナノ秒からミリ秒の範囲で可能な時間分解XRD装置を構築した.さらに,特定の結晶方位を有するマイクロ寸法の圧縮・引張・曲げ試験片をFIBで作製する技術を確立し,単結晶材料の機械的特性では寸法および結晶方位依存性も示すこと,多結晶材料ではサイズ効果の影響が軽微になることを明らかにした.
以上を基に開発したTi-Ni系多元系合金は,従来合金に比べ駆動温度変化や残留歪み,形状回復量の低下などの形状記憶特性の劣化が劇的に抑制されること,非鉛圧電体膜では,電界下のドメイン構造変化で大きな圧電性が得られること,さらに,磁性形状記憶合金NiMnGa粒子分散樹脂複合材料では,4%もの巨大磁場誘起歪みが発現することなどを見出すなど,高機能化指導原理を提案でき,実際に格段に特性の良い各種形状可変材料を開発できた.
