Outline of Annual Research Achievements

近年我々はナノサイズの金属微粒子からなる二次元結晶シートを金属基板上に積み上げると、可視域での鮮やかな呈色変化に続き、紫外域に特有の強い吸収バンドが現れる現象を発見した。これは金属微粒子結晶シートのメタマテリアル的性質に起因する。これらの独自の研究成果を発展させ、ナノ光デバイスとして具体的な応用例を世界に先駆けて提案するために、プロジェクト最終年である本年度は、以下の研究を遂行した。
1)微粒子シートを用いた細胞の高分解能動画観察に成功し、これを論文発表した。この成果は日本経済新聞にて報道された(世界最薄!局在プラズモンシートで細胞接着界面の可視化が可能に:日本経済新聞 2017.6.16.)2)全反射顕微鏡へP偏光が入射できるよう装置を改良し、偏光入射による微粒子シートの局在プラズモンの励起状態と蛍光イメージング像との関係について明らかにした 3)球以外の形状の粒子の自己組織化の効果についてFDTD計算により検討した 4)シンガポール国立大学との国際共同研究で、金属基板上への半導体ナノ粒子(QDs)の多層積層による蛍光発光増強において最大10倍の増強度を得ることに成功した。さらに成膜後に熱処理によって発光波長を制御する手法を考案した。表面をデンドリマーで修飾したQDsの自己組織化構造と発光特性との関係についても検討した。5)微粒子シートの機能性チオール分子への置換による光および電気特性変化について検討し、一部論文発表した。6)サンジアラビアKAUSTとの国際共同研究、金属微粒子とグラフェンの組み合わせた熱電変換素子作製について論文発表した。7)オーストラリア国立大学との国際共同研究、表面力測定によるクエン酸の表面への吸着状態について論文発表した。8)微粒子シートの相分離構造形成メカニズムについて論文発表した。
