| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
1.平成31年2月22日～3月8日まで、研究分担者夏目長門、西原一秀、高橋直樹、岐部俊郎、久高南美子がアジスアベバ及びブタジラにて現地調査及びアンケート調査を行った。
2.研究成果の一部を、12th World Congress of the International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundationおよび第30回日本小児口腔外科学会総会・学術大会において発表した。
3.「ライプチヒコンセンサス」として、本研究成果をもとにいわゆる嬰児「まびき」撲滅を目指したコンセンサスを行った。エチオピアでは先天異常児への対応は遅れており、また、患児の母親への正確な知識がない事のみならず、医療者自身も専門的な知識が不足していることが明らかとなった。
4.昨年日本学術研究会研究成果公開促進費にてエチオピア語（アムハラ語）で出版した「Understanding for care of cleft lip and palate in Ethiopia」を使用し平成30年度の調査を行った。
