Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
平成29年度は,前年度までに開発を進めてきた連続溶液化装置とフロー溶媒抽出器に接続する液体シンチレーション検出器の開発を主に進めた.光電子増倍管とテフロン製検出セル,アクリルライトガイドから成る検出チェンバーを製作した.光電面の径がφ46 mmとφ65 mmの2種類の光電子増倍管を用いてBi-212線源の液体シンチレーション測定を行い,Bi-212の6.1 MeVのα粒子のエネルギー分解能を評価したところ,光電面径の小さい光電子増倍管の方が高いエネルギー分解能を示すことが分かった.データ収集系にデジタイザを用いることにより,イベント毎のパルス波形を収集できようになった.Cf-252の液体シンチレーション測定から,α粒子および自発核分裂(SF)片をβ粒子やγ線からパルス波形弁別できることを確認した. GARISガスジェット搬送装置,連続溶液化装置,フロー溶媒抽出器ならびに液体シンチレーション検出器を連結し,本研究で目的とした超重元素の迅速溶液化学分離装置を完成させることができた.本装置は,GARISガスジェット搬送装置で副反応生成物から質量分離された超重元素を連続的に溶液化し,溶媒抽出分離後,液体シンチレーション検出器によってα/ SFスペクトロメトリーを行える.本装置は,短寿命超重元素同位体の壊変ロスを最小限に抑えることができ,また液体シンチレーション検出器を用いることでα-α-αやα-SF時間相関壊変事象を100%の高効率で検出できるため,これまで困難であった106番元素シーボーギウム(Sg)や107番元素ボーリウム(Bh)の溶液化学研究が可能になると期待される.
