Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Taxonomical, ecological, genomic and developmental features of an undescribed species, Caenorhabditis sp. 34 were examined to establish a new satellite model system. Regardless of its phylogenetic closeness to a model organism C. elegans, the basic biological features of undescribed species were clearly different from C. elegans, suggesting that the undescribed species can be an interesting satellite model system, especially for evolutionary biology.
