Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have generated the mutant mice lacking a dendritic cell subset expressing a chemokine receptor, XCR1, (XCR1+DC) constitutively and have found that XCR1+DC was required for keeping intestinal immune homeostasis. This indicates novel XCR1+DC-dependent mechanisms for intestinal immune regulation. We have also generated the mutant mice expressing a fluorescence protein, Kikume, in XCR1+DC. By analyzing the mice, we have achieved in visualizing functional behavior and interaction of XCR1+DC with T cells.
