Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Recent advance in sequence technology has enabled comprehensive analyses of genetic mutations in human colorectal cancer. In this study, we combined organoid culture technology and CRISPR-Cas9 technology to establish gene engineered organoids for analysis of genetic mutations in human colorectal cancers. The engineered organoids were xenotransplanted into immune-deficient mice and pathologically examined for their invasive and metastatic capacity. The functional analysis platform for driver genetic mutations are instrumental and holds a promise for applying to drug screening.
