Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research project focuses on information recommendation to support activities of novice users in mataverse such as Second Life. In particular, three themes were conducted, namely, (1) exploitation of context information in collaborative filtering, (2) improvement of BMF, a matrix factorization (MF) method with bound constraints, and (3) resolution of imbalanced data for user classification. Seven peer-reviewed papers have been published based on these results. It can be said that our main research objectives have been fulfilled.
