Outline of Final Research Achievements

In order to make physics classes more attractive and effective, we developed teaching materials for physics laboratory that use tablets. Materials developed in this study include an Augmented Reality system for electromagnetism experiments, a general purpose measurement system using multimeter with Bluetooth connection, and a simulator for simple electric circuits. Trial classes revealed both their usefulness and potential problems they can cause when used thoughtlessly. Thus we studied, in parallel, new instructional methods to maximize the effectiveness of teaching materials in general, with applications to our new materials in mind.
