Outline of Final Research Achievements

In the Great East Japan Earthquake, it was confirmed that the damage scales of immediate buildings within a block are different respectively. The evaluation method for tsunami froce acting on the building group in the block will be required. To clarify the tsunami force for the buildings, the model experiments were perfomed using the model building group in the block reproduced by 3 D printer. The method for evaluation of tsunami force acting on the buildings are investigated using the area and the shape of the building group.
As a result, the tsunami force acting on the buildings in the back of the building of sea side has decreased markedly. The forces for the rear buildings also become small and uniform, regardless of the conditions of incident wave. Furthermore, it is proposed that the parameters used the area ratio and the circularity of the building group are new means for evaluation of tsunami force.
