Outline of Final Research Achievements

I studied Kawaraban and Omochae, which had been printed from the late Edo period to the early Meiji period. The lyrics of the popular songs, which had been unknown for a long time, were discovered by the research. They can add new information to the history of the modern popular songs.
I also studied the printed moral books concerning the lives of the ordinary people. This reserch reveals one aspect the popular songs.
