| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I analyzed the original method of Haikai of Saikaku in the Genroku era period. Based on it, I considered consciousness and a method of Saikaku who connected Danrin-haikai to Genroku-haikai.
I pointed out concretely that Ukiyo-zoshi about the merchant class after Saikaku were added the author's original ingenuity and idea, but that the merchant image gradually patterned in the process.
And I analyzed newly the parody works mainly on those of Saikaku and changed conventional interpretation of those by reading and understanding ancient commentaries of "Ise Monogatari" "Genji Monogatari" from the Medieval Period to the early-modern times.
