1. Studies in Travel Writing (May 2017) 18.2 - journal special issue co-edited with Dr Laurence Williams. Published online between 24 Mar 2017 and 25 April 2017. Including several articles by specialists, including my own co-written with Dr Laurence Williams: ‘Isabella Bird, Victorian Globalism, and Unbeaten Tracks in Japan (1880)’, pp. 1-16 (http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/13645145.2017.1301793). 2. Convener of the visit of Professors George and Claire Hughes between 18 Feb 2017 and 28 Feb 2017. They gave lectures at Komaba Campus, University of Tokyo (18 Feb); The 8th Annual Liberlit Conference at Tokyo Christian Women’s University, Suginami, Tokyo (20 Feb); Gakusyuin University, Toshima, Tokyo (22 Feb); Hongo Campus, University of Tokyo (23 and 28 Feb). 3. Romantic Legacies Conference, 18-19 Nov 2016, National Chengchi University, Taiwan. I gave a paper titled ‘Re-orienting Romanticism’ and participated in closing round table on ‘The (After)lives of Romanticism’. 4. Participant in panel discussion at The 8th Annual Liberlit Conference, 20 Feb 2017, Tokyo Christian Women’s University, Suginami, Tokyo. 5. Forthcoming: Proposed series ‘Romanticism in Asia’ under negotiation with Palgrave MacMillan; Afterword to British Romanticism in Asia, edited by Laurence Williams and Alex Watson, based on Romantic Connections conference (University of Tokyo, 13-15 June 2014).
