| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究の目的は、ビルマ古典歌謡の伝承と創作の関係を明らかにすることである。本年度はこれまで撮影してきた竪琴奏者故ウー・ミィンマウンの古典歌謡の手書き楽譜約3000枚をジャンルごとに分類し整理した。この楽譜の分析の結果を2017年7月の44th International Council for Traditional Music（アイルランド、リムリック大学）にて"Musical Notations in Burmese Classical Songs’ Oral Tradition: Harpist U Myint Maung's Challenges in Transcribing Music"のタイトルで口頭発表した。9月にミャンマー現地調査を実施し、古典歌謡及の竪琴演奏伝承の調査・記録を行うとともに報告者自身も実技指導を受けた。2018年2月には2nd International Conference on Burma/Myanmar Studies, Mandalay, Myanmar（ミャンマー、マンダレー大学）において"Musical Notations and Oral Tradition in Myanmar Classical Songs: Harpist U Myint Maung’s Notations and Its Transmission System"のタイトルで口頭発表を行った
2018年3月には共著『東南アジアのポピュラーカルチャー―アイデンティティ・国家・グローバル化』（担当箇所第９章「メディアから生まれるポピュラー音楽―ミャンマーの流行歌謡とレコード産業」他コラム３点）が出版された。
2018年7月に開催予定の5th Symposium of the ICTM Study Group on Performing Arts of Southeast Asiaにて"Oral Transmission System of Burmese Classical Songs: Overview of bazat-hsaing or mouth-music"とのタイトルで口頭発表申請が受理されている。
