Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research focused on the morphological and syntactic change of Sindhi language, which is mainly spoken in Pakistan and India. Especially I have found the participle "waaaro" is important role in the noun phrase structure of the Sindhi. On the other hand, the Sindhi language has been one of the cores of their identity. But it became clear that the written language is NOT important for them as the part of their identity, but living verbal language is the most important for them. The language is the important part of the identity of the South Asian people. This research is the beginning of the identity studies, which will be one of main part of the applicant's research in the coming years.
