Outline of Final Research Achievements

I have researched some compound words or some phrases in Japanese, i.e. "toutyaku-suru sunzen", "kekkon-sunzen"; they are some kind of aspectual (temporal) expressions. They are, however, indeclinable words ("taigen"), not declinable ("yougen"). Japanese aspectual forms have been considered declinable, especially verbal forms(i.e. "-te iru"). But, the contemporary Japanese language has not only declinable aspectual forms, but also an amount of indeclinable ones. These indeclinable aspectual forms can, however, be declinable, by adding some clitics; just as verbal forms. Therefore, we have to reconsider the distinction between Verb and Noun.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
