| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
From 2014 to 2018, an Overall Research on English Education and New Teachers' Training at Elementary, Junior High Schools in Shanghai, China was conducted. During these four years every September,the research was done by following 4 new graduats from Shanghai Normal University,visiting their classes, having interviews about teaching experiences and training programs, checking the textbooks and education systems etc. Every year the collected deta were analysized and research results presentaions were given at conferences both home and abroad. Last year, a reporting seminar was held in Shanghai Normal University to both 4 new teachers and their supervisor for teachers' intership in order to show them our gratitude for their 4 years' cooperation and our resarch results, also get their responces and advice. The seminar was fruitful and productive with faithful idea exchanges and instructive encouragement. A continuing research plan was decided and is going on form this year.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
日本と中国において、英語教育は同じ外国語として小学校から実施されている。特に最近の日本は国際化の需要に追われ、英語教育は小学校３年生から行うことになった。中国も数年前から小学生から英語教育を導入され、都市部の小学校は一年生から始まった。しかし、国際的な英語試験の結果は大抵中国のレベルが上になっている。この原因を中国の英語教育の現状から追跡調査でデータ収集し、日本の英語教育改善に提案できる為に大学から小学校まで系統的に行ってきました。この４年間新人教員の授業と研修について調査したデータ分析は、日本と国外の学会や研究誌に成果を発表した。日本の英語教員養成や研修制度に少しでも貢献が出来たらと思う。
