Outline of Final Research Achievements

The purpose of this study was to clarify the fact of the shipping trade by French seaport-town Nantes in the first half of 18th century.
I quantified it about two fields of trade, Antilles Islands trade and European coastal trade, among 3,898 ships. I performed a historical sources materials investigation about the shipping agents. I clarified the core of businessman network ; ship suppliers, shipowners, captains and product handling supplier.
