Outline of Final Research Achievements

The 2011 Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant Disaster in Japan became the critical juncture of nuclear energy policy. Most countries are still arguing about the nuclear energy policy and several countries are already reconsidering the use of nuclear energy.This study analyzes the ‘change of nuclear energy policy and change of regulation system’ for the safety and the security. And this study showed how government reorganizes the institutions to ensure safety and security to react nuclear power plant disasters.
And this analyzed the mechanism to show how the ‘Lock In and Reinforcement of nuclear energy policy’ evolve through the pluralistic process of interesting groups. This study is from the year 1954 which decided nuclear energy policy as a national policy to the year 2016 which is preceding the policy arguments on nuclear energy after Fukushima disaster.
