Outline of Final Research Achievements |
It has long been an open question whether any Pareto-efficienct and strategy-proof allocation mechanisms are dictatorial in economies with many agents while the dictatorship result in two-agent economies is well known. This is what I tried to clarify in this research. I showed that any Pareto-efficient and strategy-proof allocation mechanisms are alternately dictatorial. This result implies that Pareto efficiency and strategy-proofness are incompatible properties of allocation mechanisms even in many-agent economies.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
