| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
初年度である今年度は所得格差の要因分析をはじめるにあたって，グループデータからの所得分布の推定に取り組んだ。特に，所得分布として当てはまりがよいとされているDagum分布やSingh-Maddala分布の性質について分析を行った。この結果は"Simulation Studies Comparing Dagum and Singh-Maddala Income Distributions"としてまとめられ，日本応用経済学会春季大会において報告された。現在は，投稿に向けて準備が進められている。
あわせて，所得分布を推定するための分布として，柔軟な分布である一般化ベータ分布(generalized beta distribution)の推定方法に関しても取り組んだ。最尤法などによる標準的な方法では推定が不安定な上，既存のマルコフ連鎖モンテカルロ法による推定でも効率的なサンプリングができないので，Tailored-randomized block Metropolis-Hastingsアルゴリズムによるサンプリングを提案した。この結果サンプリングの効率性にも改善が見られた。この結果は"Bayesian Estimation of Beta-Type Distribution Parameters Based on Grouped Data"としてまとめられ，ISBA 2014 World Meetingにおいて報告された。現在は投稿に向けて準備が進められている。

Reason
"Simulation Studies Comparing Dagum and Singh-Maddala Income Distributions"と"Bayesian Estimation of Beta-Type Distribution Parameters Based on Grouped Data"と言う2編の論文にまとめられて投稿に向けて準備が進められているので，順調に進んでいると考えている。また，次年度に向けての準備も順調に進んでいると考えている。

次年度は今年度の成果を発展させた結果を国内外を問わず学会や研究集会で発表して，広く意見を求めていく。具体的には経済格差を計測するためのジニ係数の推定についての研究を進め，日本応用経済学会，日本統計学会，Joint Statistical Meetingなどにおいて，研究報告することを計画している。
