| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Three villages in Northern Laos increased their cash income by tabacco's contract farming. One village increased its cash income more by concentrating the production of tabacco and also could increase the products of rice by utilizing its cash income and the learned technology. The other two villages have decreased the production of tabacco and also started a trading activity. The educational level has been increasing in these villages. I investigated about contract farming in other provinces. Contract farming is conducted on various produts such as pampkin, etc. The irrigation facilities and human resouces in farmers are required to use contract farming more successfully.
