Outline of Final Research Achievements |
It has been found that the children suffering PTSD often have mothers who have been suffering long-term depression and fathers who exhibit aggression towards criminals. It has been found that when adults are shown pictures of injured people in court, black and white images have far less impact than do color images. In addition, adults are able to observe black and white images in much more detail than they can color ones. The results of a questionnaire to 87 female sex crime investigators showed that investigators who have seen dreadfully mutilated bodies have a significantly higher relation to “emotional labor.” Research and information gathering in Poland and Austria has clearly shown that concentration camp survivors’ recovery from trauma has something to do with their resilience which was promoted by ‘a love and respect for humanity’ and ‘a loving and caring childhood’.
