Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is charaterized by significant impairment in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication deficits, and restricted and repetitive intersts and behavior. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group therapy, which was designed to enhance university-related behavior, based on their specific social communication and emotional needs. The results showed significant post intervention improvements in depressive symptom, anxiety, and self-seteem. These results indicated that the group therapy was effective for university students with high-functioning ASD.
