Outline of Final Research Achievements |
his comparative study aims to clarify the challenges of school education toward inclusive education including provision of reasonable accommodation. To understand the international trend of the Convention one the Rights of Persons with disabilities, especially the Article 24(education), the General Comment No.4 issued by The UN committee was analyzed. The comment highlights the importance inclusive education and promotes development of inclusive education system in the state parties. The Persons with Disabilities Discrimination Elimination Act has been enforced since 2016 in Japan, The concept of reasonable accommodation in the Act is examined to provide reasonable accommodation in school education. To consider inclusive education practice, practical model has been suggested from the Project of constructing inclusive education system for students with special needs running by the schools attached with Nara University of Education.
