Outline of Annual Research Achievements

昆虫飛翔の模倣による超微小飛翔ロボットが期待されている.しかしながら,マルチフィジクスの複雑さと加工技術の限界から,その可能性は明らかになっていない.ゆえに本研究では,マルチフィジクス計算力学により昆虫飛翔を模倣した1mmスケールのMEMS翼を2.5次元の設計空間で探索し,マイクロマシニングにより実空間で実装することで,超微小飛翔ロボットの可能性を示す.
平成28年度においては,以下の研究成果を得た:(1)本マルチフィジクスシミュレータにより,MEMS翼の詳細設計を精緻化した.具体的には,設計変数空間における満足解集合であるデザインウィンドウの詳細構造を羽ばたき周波数に関して明らかにした.(2)本マルチフィジクスシミュレータにより,昆虫翼運動の自動化メカニズムを精緻化した.具体的には,リコイルを含む受動的ピッチング運動の力学的全容が半ストローク毎に繰り返される臨界減衰近くの不足減衰振動として説明できることを明らかにした.(3)(1)に基づき,翼膜だけでなく,支持構造である前縁もポリイミドとするMEMS翼のプロセスを開発し,その作成を行った.さらにMEMS翼に対する材料力学的試験を行い,翼膜の十分な柔軟性と前縁の十分な強度を確認し,翼膜のヤング率を導出した.
以上により,マルチフィジクスシミュレータとMEMSプロセスにより,超微小飛翔ロボットの要素技術であるMEMS翼を実現し,超微小飛翔ロボットの可能性を示すことができた.
