Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は,従来有限要素法や境界要素法で用いられる有限要素,境界要素生成とそれらの要素を用いて構成する補間関数という2つの作業を完全に切り離し,要素の概念を全く用いないメッシュレス法を開発することである.また,同方法を次世代並列分散処理用アーキテクチャを用いて高速化することであった.本研究実績をまとめると以下の通りである.

1.メッシュレス法を直接Maxwellの方程式に適用し,時間発展問題を解く手法であるMeshless Time-Domain Method (MTDM)法の補間関数として,Interpolating Moving Least-Squares関数を用い,計算手法の数値的な安定性を向上した.従来用いて来た補間関数の場合,解析形状の複雑化や時間ステップ数の増加と共に計算が不安定になっていたが,本手法を用いることにより,安定的に計算することが実現できた.
2.メッシュレス法やその他の電磁界解析より得られる大規模連立1次方程式の求解に並列化を前提とした反復解法を適用した場合,並列分散数の増加と共に,アルゴリズム内にある内積計算の集団通信の増加が起こり,その結果,並列化効率の劣化が起こる.本研究では,この難点を克服するために,Krylov基底を事前に計算し,その基底を用いて内積計算を展開することにより,内積計算の集団通信を回避する通信回避アルゴリズム付きKrylov部分空間解法の開発を行い,その数値的な評価を行なった.本手法において,通信回避の度合いにより,収束特性の劣化が確認できたが,最初の数回の反復である程度の収束を確認できたため,本手法を可変的前処理付きKrylov部分空間解法の前処理手法に適用した結果,通常の通信回避付きKrylov部分空間解法と比較して,約40%の収束回数の減少を確認できた.これらの問題は,今後の検討課題とする.
