Outline of Annual Research Achievements

結び目の色付きJones多項式に関する体積予想とその一般化を中心に研究を行なった.
体積予想とは,結び目の色付きJones多項式にexp(2πi/N)を代入した値の,N->∞における漸近挙動により,その結び目の補空間の体積が得られるであろうというものである.また,2πiを一般の複素数に変えることにより,結び目補空間の基本群のSL(2;C)への表現(その複素数に関係する)に付随したChern-Simons不変量(複素体積とみなせる)やReidemeister torsionが得られるという予想に一般化される.
本研究では,特に体積予想の一般化について研究した.ある結び目の正則近傍の境界に沿って何度か回ることによって得られる結び目のことを,その結び目のcablingと呼ぶ.torus結び目のcablingによって得られる結び目に対して体積予想の一般化を調べた.その結果,結び目補空間の基本群の様々な既約表現に付随したChern-Simons不変量とReidemeister torsionが,色付きJones多項式の漸近展開の主要項に現れることが分かった.また,それらの表現でひねった結び目補空間のホモロジー群の次元も現れることも示された.さらに,その証明の過程においてそのような結び目のChern-Simons不変量とReidemeister torsionの公式も得られた.この結果は一般の結び目のcabling,さらには衛星結び目(補空間に非圧縮torusが存在するような結び目)に関する体積予想とその一般化について新たな知見を与えた.
なお,この結果は論文にまとめられ投稿中である.
