| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
バナッハ空間の幾何学的性質について一連の成果を得た。とくに不動点性等に関連して重要なuniform non-square性（UNSQ性）、その一般化であるuniform non-[ell]^n_1性、またp凸性などを中心に一連の成果を得た。
（１）Strictly monotoneなノルムを持つψ直和に対してuniform non-square性及びuniform non-[ell]^n_1性を特徴づけた。また一般のノルムをもつA直和がψ直和と等距離同型であることを示した。これにより、バナッハ空間の直和を扱う際にψ直和は十分一般的であること、換言すれば、一般のノルムをもつ直和の考察に凸関数ψを用いてよいことが示された。
（２）Strictly monotone性の条件をはずして一般のψ直和に対してUNSQ性を特徴づけた。n次元ユークリッド空間上のノルムの族T_N^(mix)を導入して、一般のA直和に対してUNSQ性を特徴づけた(論文作成中)。また、バナッハ空間のψ直和のp凸性について一定の成果を得た（論文作成中）。
（３）James型定数に関する一連の結果を得た（論文作成中）。
（４）Twenty-Sixth International Conference, Forum of Interdeciplinary Mathematicsで招待講演を行った。また、国際会議「Banach Spaces and Operator Theory with Applications」(Poznan, Poland)の他、Lulea工科大学(Sweden)、ウィーン大学(Austria)、コンケーン大学(Tailand)で研究成果について講演を行った。国内では、数学会秋季総合分科会、実解析学シンポジウム、京都大学数理解析研究所共同研究集会等で講演を行った。
