Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は、"無機化合物の結晶構造キラリティ制御可能な合成手法の開発"と"無機キラル磁性体のキラル磁気ソリトン格子の観測及びその新規物性の観測"を行うことである。平成27年度において得られた成果は以下の通りである。
(a) CsCuCl3のキラルらせん磁気構造の観測
平成26年度に構築させた独自の結晶育成手法をより発展させ、結晶キラリティの左右を完全に制御したcmオーダーの単結晶試料の育成に成功した。得られた単結晶は偏極中性子回折によって、右手系結晶は右巻らせん磁気構造、左手系結晶は左巻らせん磁気構造であることを実験的に証明した。
(b) CrNb3S6のキラル磁気抵抗効果の観測
CrNb3S6においてキラル磁気ソリトン格子の周期の変調に伴う磁気抵抗の巨大化を観測した。

合成手法をより改良し、より普遍的な結晶構造キラリティ制御手法の確立を目指す。
また、キラル磁気ソリトン格子形成に伴う新規物性の観測を行う。
