Outline of Annual Research Achievements

球面収差補正走査透過電子顕微鏡法により、フェリハイドライト、シュベルトマナイトの構造を観察し、Ｚコントラスト像から結晶構造モデルを作ることを試みた。電子線回折およびＸ線回折によりフェリハイドライトと同定されるナノ粒子の集合体からは、酸素の最稠密面がＡＢＡＣ、ＡＢ、および不規則なスタッキングをする粒子が認められた。これまで提案されたモデルとは異なりＦｅは8面体に入るが、4面体にはほとんど認められなかった。シュベルトマナイトは、アカガネアイト類似の構造をもつとされてきたが、Zコントラスト像ではアカガネアイトが持つような８面体で作られるトンネル構造は確認できない。これらの結果をもとに、新しい構造モデルの構築を試みた。
