大陸衝突帯における地殻内流体活動・部分溶融とそれに伴う物質移動の理解

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ネパールヒマラヤ・ダンクッタ地域の主中央衝上断層(MCT）下盤側の泥質片岩中に非調和に貫入している、電気石-石英脈について詳細に検討した。壁岩中の、脈からの距離に応じた鉱物組み合わせの変化と電気石の組成変化を検討し、実験的研究と比較した。その結果、流入した流体はNa濃度が0.2-0.8mol/L（NaClに換算すると1.8-4.7wt%に相当）であったと推定した。これは、同程度の深さの大陸衝突帯断面であるセール・ロンダーネ山地で濃い塩水活動が推定されたのとは対照的な結果である。
リュツォ・ホルム岩体スカレビックハルセンの試料中の塩素に富む黒雲母を含むザクロ石-珪線石片麻岩の起源について、ザクロ石のREEパターン測定やLA-ICPMSによるザクロ石の同位体マッピング、およびジルコンのU-Pb年代測定を行い、藍晶石グレードの変成作用を2回経験していることを明らかにした。また、2つの年代ピークを示すモナズ石の再結晶化には、約580Ma頃の塩水活動と部分溶融が関与していた可能性を指摘した。この成果をJournal of Mineralogical and Petrological Sciences誌に出版した。
沈み込み帯の例として、三波川変成帯国領川地域の端出場メランジュを調査した。電気石濃集層の形成後、その電気石を分解するような、カリ長石脈を作る流体活動があり、三波川帯のDs変形はその後まで続いていたことがわかった。
領家帯三河高原地域に露出する、片麻状構造をもつ花崗岩類のU-Pbジルコン年代を決定したところ、片麻状構造をもつものが必ずしも広域変成岩と近い年代を持つわけではないことが明らかとなった。

Reason

ヒマラヤ、南極（リュツォ・ホルム岩体およびセール・ロンダーネ山地）の試料については計画通りに解析が進んでいるが、エジンバラ大で実施予定のホウ素同位体比分析が先方の機械の不調などでまだ完了していないため。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

リュツォ・ホルム岩体の試料から、塩水活動に迫れそうな新たな試料を見いだしたため、その解析を進めると同時に、セール・ロンダーネ山地の試料についても地域を広げて部分溶融及び流体活動の痕跡探しにつとめ、テクトニクスとの関係に迫る。

エジンバラ大学におけるホウ素同位体比分析が先方の機器不調などのためにまだ実施できておらず、分析費用を繰り越しているため。
