Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
1.NiNC exhibiting both characteristic antiaromatic behaviors and reasonable stability has been investigated to produce new magnetic features by molecular stacking, induced by bridging groups. Aromaticity on the anti aromatic molecules was observed sequentially (Nature Com. 2016, 7, 13620). 2.Reactivity of NiNC was also investigated, in which antiaromatic porphyrinoids, Ni(II) tetrahydronocorroles having saturated pyrrole segments were successfully created (Chem. Commun. 2016, 52, 7106). 3.NiNC has been applied towards an active electrode material for Li-organic and Li-free organic batteries. The batteries performed remarkably charge/discharge processes over 100 cycles and showed high discharge capacity with great efficiencies. it was highlighted in Angewandte Chemie and presented at Pacifichem 2015. Since the NiNC batteries have shown promising results, hexaphyrin was investigated towards an active electrode material, which actually provided promising results (invited talk, preICMM 2016, Nagoya Univ., Japan; Sep. 2~3, 2016). 4.Extended pai-electron conjugations raise valuable molecular functions capable for many practical applications, such as medicinal and material sciences. Metallations of dicyanovinylene-bis(meso-aryl) dipyrrin produce largely expanded porphyrinoides was discovered 97th CSJ annual meeting (Keio Univ., Japan; Mar. 16~19, 2017). 5.Chemosensing properties on E-bodiby were investigated with various transition metal ions (photochem. Phtobiol. Chem. 2016, 331, 233).
