Outline of Annual Research Achievements

直交格子を用いて固体物体まわりの非圧縮流れを解く埋め込み境界法とよばれる数値解法で、界面近傍における支配方程式の直接離散化と速度・圧力場の整合性が取れた離散化に、新たに界面熱流束の整合性を付加し、固体内熱伝導と外部流体の対流熱伝達の組み合わせ問題の高精度化を行った。
乱流変調の最も基本的な問題のひとつである乱れの最小長さスケールと同程度の直径をもつ粒子の受ける力のモデリングを行った。流れの基礎方程式に粒子サイズと同程度の空間スケールでの体積平均を施した方程式を導出し、その体積平均方程式を数値的に解くための離散化法として、粒子表面の応力を反映させた流体相への作用力、非線形項の体積平均に起因する付加的応力を定式化した。特に、一様流および単純剪断流れに置かれた粒子のまわりの流れについて、それぞれ Proudman and Pearson および Saffman の解に基づく作用力モデルを提案し、その有効性を系のエネルギー保存性とともに示した。この解析によって既存の質点モデルから特に改善された点は、一様流および剪断流れ場の中に置かれた粒子の表面応力分布の非等方性およびその流れ場への影響である。また複数の複合剪断流れ場に適用する際にこれらの重ね合わせが有効であることを直接計算の結果から示した。提案手法により、コルモゴロフ・スケールと同程度の直径をもつ粒子を含む流れ場において、粒径スケールの計算格子を用いて流れ場をシミュレートする基礎が確立され、解析できるスケール幅を格段に広げた。
