Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Ultraviolet is used in many applications. Conventional mercury lamp should be changed new type due to its toxicity. AlN and related phosphors were studied as UV emitting phosphor. The phosphor using Gd as luminescence center did not show luminescence. On the other hand, Ce doped phosphor using polytipoid structure showed a near UV emission.
